What is the challenge?
Through competitive logistics facilities, we can continue to be a logistics hotspot within Europe. The Netherlands is still growing as a transit country. If we start building the right infrastructure now, we will be at the forefront of smart logistics later.
The road system of the Netherlands will soon be not just offline, but also an online network where we can retrieve loads of data. This enables interesting logistical innovations, such as self-driving trucks or traffic that communicates with traffic lights. Due to the growing collection of logistical data, we will soon be able to not only predict problems on the road, but resolve them as well. Among others, two of these problems have to do with the logistical freight traffic in the Netherlands.
That is why Matrixian Group is organising a Smart Logistics Hackathon on Saturday 20 October. Starting at 10:00 AM, we will share our knowledge and get to work with new tools & technologies in order to digitise the existing infrastructure.
To whom is this hackathon meant for?
The Smart Logistics Hackathon is intended for everyone who is interested in solutions to make logistical Netherlands smarter, more sustainable and safer using new technology.
This involves developers, data scientists and designers – but also logistical managers, entrepreneurs and students.
What will we be doing?
For this hackathon, we have received a number of interesting data sets to build solutions with. We do this with logistical and location data from the government. This data is eventually processed on the Matrixian Platform, creating new insights and follow-up actions. At the end of the day, the solutions are presented and shared with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.
On this day, data scientists and engineers will work with open data, data mining, data science models, front-end development and mapping data on maps.
Entrepreneurs, experts, students and other interested parties dive into the questions, share their knowledge with others and work in groups to use logistical data for valuable insights and applications.

We also have the following rules:
- You bring your laptop.
- Do you find open data yourself that day? Always welcome!
- We expect a maximum of 15 participants, who work in groups of 3-5 persons.
What is the location?
The Hackathon is organised at the Cool Classic Club, Energiestraat 3 in Naarden. This location is just a 10-minute bus ride (bus 110) from the Naarden-Bussem train station. The location is also easily accessible by car and there is plenty of parking space.
You can sign up in two ways. You can contact us via our contact page or you can get your ticket via our Eventbrite page.
